Arlevea Freeman is a junior at Morgan Park, where she competes in decathlon competitions and science fairs. Her extracurricular activities include Morgan Park’s Drama Troupe, Improv Montage, and the Universal Movement Student Chorus. Arlevea also volunteers for Ronald McDonald House and with the service organization Ambassadors of Love. A Collegiate Scholar since 2008, she has especially enjoyed the College Tour for its eye-opening exposure to new places and the sense of camaraderie she gained with her colleagues.
Phenomenal Classes
“I think the classes that are offered are just phenomenal,” says Arlevea. “I didn’t like math until I took number theory with Professor Sally, and the entrepreneurship class helped me decide to do a double major in econ and math.” She says her fellow Collegiate Scholars all show promise: “I know that everybody I’m meeting is going to really be something in life, that they’re going to make a major contribution to our world and our future.”
