  • The Benefits

Together with their peers from all around the city of Chicago who share an excitement for learning and discovery, Collegiate Scholars study interesting and dynamic subjects. The skills that they develop help them excel in their high school classes. They also gain firsthand experience in university-style learning- including the Socratic Seminar- from the best professors the University of Chicago has to offer.

In addition, Collegiate Scholars and their parents get a head start on the college search process. They learn what successful preparation involves and are given tips for evaluating and applying to colleges, as well as for financing a college education.
